Implementation of Internet Radio receiver is tested with more then 1000’s of internet radio stations in the past 5 years of time. Challenge is here to interact with servers and get stream from them via IP network. It is known that IP network is based on packet switching based data transmission unlike circuit switch data transmission in other type network.
Platform Blackfin: Radio receiver implemented in Blackfin (on top of uClinux OS or on top of VDK) required to take care of issues that are happening in IP network and provide Audio Break free music to listener. OEM’s can create their own Internet Radio in short time, with the use of Internet Radio receiver software from us. If OEM’s run different OS (then what is listed in the above) then Epigon will provide ported version of Internet Radio receiver that runs in OS of OEM’s choice.
Platform OMAP 5912: Internet Radio receiver in OMAP runs on top of embedded Linux OS / Windows CE and also provide remote interface to User via UART/SPI.
Platform PC: Internet Radio receiver application from us runs on PC with Windows XP OS.

DAB Radio Receiver
Implementation of DAB Radio receiver tested with real time broadcast stream.
Platform Blackfin: DAB Radio receiver software in Blackfin is tested with real time broadcast stream. Application Interface Document enable system integrator to get their DAB receiver up and running. Since DAB radio receiver need to communicate with tuner one side and User interface other side, interaction with OEM’s team is critical to understand requirements from OEM’s. However, Epigon provides default setting that can be very useful to OEM’s.

DMB Receiver

Platform PC: DMB player software is designed to be plug in to Windows Media Player and also runs as stand alone application in Windows XP OS based PC. DMB stream expected to come via USB to PC.
Platform DM64x: DMB receiver software is running on DSP side DM64xx.
